Card Payment Direct made the donation to the American Red Cross to help aid with the most urgent needs including housing, transportation, food and clothing. "Many of our customers, employees and families have been affected by this tremendous damage. We are committed to going the extra mile to help the people of Oklahoma get back on their feet," said Jonathan Malone, Director of Operations for Card Payment Direct.
Tornadoes have hit Oklahoma for over the past two weeks and the effects have been devastating. In many areas the tornadoes have completely leveled homes, schools, businesses, commercial buildings and even a hospital. The American Red Cross has responded with more than 1,100 disaster workers to provide shelter, meals, relief supplies and emotional support.
Card Payment Direct will also be conducting a food drive to collect non-perishable items to help feed those affected by the storms, and those assisting in the clean-up efforts. "We believe that monetary donations are only one way to show our support, but we want the communities to know that we stand with them as they begin to rebuild their lives after this horrible travesty," states Malone.
