- (1888PressRelease) February 26, 2024 - Maybe once in a business lifetime, you see a small 'shop' flourish locally level and, within a year, witness a test product become a national brand, only then to dedicate itself to helping non-profits like https://4amanda.org/.
This is the case with https://candlebar.com/.
Originally the Sister's House Boutique, this business set out to deliver unique gifts in the boutique landscape in Salem, Virginia.
It next added the Get Lit Candle Bar; a candle crafting experience where customers make their own candles while enjoying complimentary wine and charcuterie.
That fun service became better than two-thirds of their revenues, and then a leap of faith. The domain Candlebar.com was not cheap, and who knew if the next idea would take off.
That "next" idea, Candlebars, candle wax melts shaped and packaged to look like a candy bar, are the safest, highest quality, and best value on the market.
Speaking of Candlebars, the founder Fran Hall said, "Who doesn't like a candy bar; especially one without calories? And if you're going to sell something, it should be the best. I have lost track of the thousands of hours of testing and sticker shocks to source the best, safest, and most environmentally friendly wax, scents, dye and packaging. On the bright side, I now know terms like gas chromatography and mass spectrometry, renewable carbon index, and olfactometry."
Fran and her business partner, Dan Hubbard, focused on two things from the beginning. How to create a wax melt that provides scent longer than any others on the market, and how to do that while ensuring the wax melts are the safest for humans, animals, and the environment.
"Two Candlebar melt sections provide scent for 52 hours, on average. With 24 sections per Candlebar, that's over 600 hours of scent per 850 square feet of indoor space, for only $10. There's no other wax melt on the market that gets anywhere close to that performance," said Dan Hubbard.
Why are Candlebars so safe? They are free of phthalates, animal products, antimicrobials, carcinogens, mutagens, reproductive toxins, organ toxins, acute toxins, and made without any ingredient found on California's Proposition 65 list.
"We only use soy wax made from the oil of soybeans and rice bran. The wax we use undergoes a purification process to remove pesticides, herbicides, or Genetically Modified Materials (GMM), and has a renewable carbon index (RCI) higher than 98%."
Dan added, "We do not use any harmful polymers used by our competitors to aid in fragrance oil retention and enhance dye colors. Instead, we use sustainable plant-derived fatty acids and proteins to accomplish the same task."
So, both the best and safest wax melt you can buy, and in doing so you support charity. That's a no-brainer!
