Candle Light Tribute for Chester Thacker to be Held at Fort Dorchester High School Football Field
There will be a Candle Light Tribute for Chester Thacker who passed on March 27, 2012 at the Fort Dorchester Football Field on April 12th, 2012. The event is open to the public, and we encourage anyone who knew Mr. Thacker to be there to share the memories with us.
- Charleston-North Charleston, SC (1888PressRelease) March 30, 2012 - On April 12th, 2012 at 8:00 pm, there will be a candle lighting tribute to Chester Thacker held at the Fort Dorchester High School Football Field located at 8500 Patriot Blvd North Charleston, SC 29420. The event will last approximately two hours. A few students will be speaking in tribute, along with candle lighting and letter boxes for memories.
Amanda O'Riley will be hosting the event, with former student speakers Christie O'Riley, Nicole McElveen, Elizabeth Murray, and Kelly Murphy.

He taught all of us that it was great to be different, to follow our dreams, and to make a difference; a difference is exactly what he made in all of our lives. Mr. Thacker is proof that ordinary people do extraordinary things every single day!
Join us for this special Tribute to a wonderful teacher, who gave 34 years to teaching all of us so much not only with education, but in life. Mr. Thacker taught ninth through twelfth grade at Summerville High School and Fort Dorchester High School.
