An accomplished songwriter as well as singer, she's written the opening song from the movie "How to Lose a Guy in 10 days", and also for the popular children's films "The Lizzie McGuire Movie", "Ella Enchanted", and "Because of Winn Dixie". The Beu Sisters recently won Best Pop Artist at the 2013 Artists in Music Awards, and the music video "Never Gonna Give You Up", conceived, directed and produced by Candice was nominated for Best Music Video.
Now the multi-talented Candice has been selected by award-winning writer, producer and director Sylvia Binsfeld to play an important role in her forthcoming short fantasy film project "Upon a Starry Night". Candice is to play the part of the beautiful mother of the two children who go off on the fantastical dreamland adventure.
"Candice first contacted me after stumbling upon my lullaby film "Dorme" said Binsfeld. "I discovered Candice was a fellow dreamer and artist. When I saw her video "Daze" on YouTube, I was enchanted by it and felt our meeting was somehow noteworthy because we simply spoke the same language with our art".
Binsfeld continues about the film: "Upon a Starry Night" is a playful children's fantasy and fantastical celebration of love, connection & diversity. It will be a film that inspires dreams, connection to each other and healing for the world. The sets, costumes, props will all be magical fantasy, and the FX will be breathtaking in a dreamy, gentle way". The film short will be long on FX as renowned visual effects industry veteran Steve Wright (Traffic, Spy Kids) is the Master Compositor and Digital Wizard for the film. Binsfeld urges "like "Dorme", "Upon a Starry Night" is a labor of love, and I won't stop working on it until it is pure magic."
Binsfeld's fantasy short film "Dorme" premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, was screened in over 38 film festivals and won several awards, including Best Film and the Audience Award. It was screened in both children's venues and the regular venues.
Binsfeld is partially funding the development of the movie through contributions made through a campaign on the popular fundraising site indiegogo. You can find out more about the movie or contribute to its production at http://igg.me/at/starrynight
