(1888PressRelease) March 10, 2011 - Canadian breakthrough artist and DJ, Troy Carter, has been ranked in eighth position out of 2500 DJs and producers in Canada. The ranking, published by The DJ List, was released in late January 2011. The authoritative poll, which ranked industry heavyweights Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren and fellow Canadian, Deadmau5 in the global top 5, confirms Carter's position as a leader in the Canadian scene and international contender in the electronic music industry. When questioned about his new position in the poll, Carter said "I'm honoured to have my name ranked amongst so many great artist, I am so appreciative of the support I'm receiving internationally from my fans"

This latest achievement follows a busy breakthrough year for the Montreal born DJ. Already respected in his local scene, Carter spent an industrious 2010 establishing himself as an internationally renowned artist and DJ with an extensive tour of Latin America. In a further bold move he relocated to Europe in October, to be at the hub of the dance music industry and take his career to the next level. Something which is clearly paying off.

The following months are set to be just as successful, with a wealth of new music scheduled for release this spring. In November 2010 DJ Mag placed Carter in the top 10 Canadian born DJs, (DJ MAG TOP 100 2010 Edition) alongside world-famous artists, Deadmau5, Tiga and A-Trak. The acclaimed magazine also placed him at number 289 in the world. With superstar DJs Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta and Tiesto ranked as the top 3, Carter's inclusion in the poll indicates his burgeoning success and importance in the industry.
