Canadian Cloud Council Announces Agenda for Second National Conference "The Cloud Accelerator"
National non-profit presents conference schedule featuring 35 cloud technology industry experts, business leaders and policy makers.
- (1888PressRelease) August 13, 2012 - The Canadian Cloud Council officially announced the agenda today for the association's second semi-annual national conference "The Cloud Accelerator" on October 15 and 16, 2012 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The event promises to be the most disruptive cloud conference in the history of Canada and will feature 35 Canadian cloud evangelists, business leaders and policy makers tasked with creating "Canada's Cloud Economic Action Plan".
The Canadian Cloud Council hosted a successful inaugural conference in Edmonton, Alberta in March 2012 which was recently called "Canada's first national cloud conference" by Shawn Taft, MTS Allstream's Senior Product Manager for Hosting and Cloud Computing. "I look at the program and speaker lineup of our second national conference and it has the potential of being a game changer," said Robert Hart, the Canadian Cloud Council's President and CEO." "Many of Canada's most influential leaders in the areas of cloud and enterprise technology will be in the room and together will have the ability to drive forward some monumental progress related to the advancement of Canada's cloud agenda."
The theme of the event will be Canadian Cloud technology innovation, entrepreneurship and commercialization - and how the convergence of these disciplines will play a major impact on Canadian economic development and its global competitive position. The conference will focus on three major key focus areas: The Business of Cloud Computing, Cloud Transformation Best Practices, and The Case for Government Cloud Computing. Sir Terry Matthews, Chairman of Wesley Clover and David Nicholl, CIO of Government of Ontario are opening the event, which is proudly sponsored by Canadian Cloud Council members: Mitel, Wesley Clover and IBM.
