Cambridgeshire Motorcycle Company Backs British Superbikes Hopeful
ZingBikes' sponsored rider earns 'wildcard' ride in prestigious competition.
- (1888PressRelease) July 29, 2012 - A Huntingdon-based motorcycle and scooter company is celebrating after their sponsored rider earned a place in one of motorsport's biggest events.
ZingBikes, the sole importer and distributor of Lifan-brand motorcycles in the UK, announced their move into race sponsorship in 2009 and backed Lincolnshire rider Blake Woulds, 19.
Blake has now earned his first opportunity to test his skill level against a number of established racers by taking up the 'wildcard' ride in the Triumph Triple Challenge at the British Superbike Championship.
The challenge is tasked with finding and developing aspiring talent and is recognised as a key platform to the prestigious British Superbike Championships - one of the most competitive national motorcycle series in the world.
The event will be held at Derbyshire's Donington Park Circuit on the 8th and 9th September 2012.
After having his sponsorship recently continued, Blake has also confirmed that he will be testing the Triumph 675 at ZingBikes' first ever track day in August. This event, to be held at Leicestershire's Mallory Park circuit, will offer 120 keen motorcyclists the chance to ride the track and raise valuable funds for the injured soldiers' charity Help for Heroes.
