CALL LADE ENTERPRISES Kicks off 30th Anniversary celebration with head-shaving fundraiser to support Children’s Cancer Foundation
Twenty-two of Call Lade Enterprises Private Limited’s employees had volunteered to shave their heads at the annual “Hair for Hope” fundraiser on 8 June 2022 to kickstart the company’s 30th Anniversary celebrations.
- (1888PressRelease) June 15, 2022 - Twenty-two of Call Lade Enterprises Private Limited’s employees had volunteered to shave their heads at the annual “Hair for Hope” fundraiser organised by the Children’s Cancer Foundation on 8 June 2022. This satellite event held at Call Lade Enterprises’ head office kick-started a series of activities organised to commemorate Call Lade Enterprises’ 30th Anniversary this year. Coincidentally, the Children’s Cancer Foundation is also celebrating its 30th Anniversary, so there is extra significance in co-celebrating this milestone with this meaningful event.
Volunteers for “Hair for Hope” shave their heads to help raise awareness for childhood cancer, show support for the patients and their families that it is ok to be bald, and to raise donations to fund the Foundation’s programs and activities. Call Lade Enterprises’ volunteers took up the challenge and have helped to raise more than eighteen-thousand Singapore Dollars so far, with the online donation closing on 7 August 2022. The volunteers come from throughout the company, including top management, foremen and operations staff. Many of the shavees have never shaved their heads before and were worried about the embarrassment of going bald, but they bravely joined the call for volunteers. It was indeed commendable.
Spearheading the list of shavees during the event was Call Lade Enterprises’ Director, Mr. Tan Dengqi, who had gamely agreed to support Children’s Cancer Foundation as part of the anniversary celebrations. “Call Lade Enterprises has come a long way to where it is today, and we hope to do what we can to give back to the society and support the needy”, Mr Tan says. “Hair for Hope also enables us to create a memorable shared experience with our staff, provide opportunities for them to contribute to our anniversary celebrations and to show the human side of the company and its management. We are honoured to support Children’s Cancer Foundation, and we wish the best to all the patients in their fight against cancer. We look forward to organising other worthy activities to celebrate our 30th Anniversary in the coming months for all our stakeholders.”
