Call For Submissions - Get Your Cameras Clicking. San Francisco will be the next "Great City Exposed"
Popular online photography tips and tutorials website, FreePhotoCourse.com, has revealed the results of its two month survey in which visitors voted to decide which city will be featured next in its "Great Cities Exposed" online photography exhibit series. Following the first exhibit, "NYC Exposed", this new exhibit will feature visitor-submitted artistic photography of San Francisco, California.
- (1888PressRelease) December 06, 2011 - If you had to choose one world-class city to be the subject of an artistic photography exhibit, which one would get your vote?
Popular digital photography tips and tutorials website, FreePhotoCourse.com, put that very question to its readers and has just announced the results of its two month survey. Rome, Italy and Prague, Czech Republic, came in at second and third place, getting roughly 12% and 13% of the total vote. And while other options such as Seattle, Sidney, Philadelphia, London and Chicago were popular, it was San Francisco that came in first place with roughly 17% of all votes.
As a result, a Call for Submissions has been announced for photographers, photo enthusiasts and amateurs alike to enter their best shots of "The City", as San Franciscans like to call it. So get your camera clicking! The best of the best will be selected and published in the upcoming "San Francisco EXPOSED" online exhibit which is the next feature to be published in the site's "Great Cities Exposed" series.
This is the second exhibit in the series; the first being the well-received and celebrated "NYC Exposed" gallery. In this earlier New York exhibit, twenty-one of the most compelling pictures were chosen from hundreds of submissions. The images that became part of the NYC Exposed project covered everything from the Brooklyn Bridge to the East Village and did so in a heartfelt and artistic way.
Now that "San Francisco EXPOSED" has been formally announced, submissions will be accepted through January 15, 2012. You don't have to live in San Francisco to participate. If you visited the city within the past year or two, fell in love with and photographed something that says "San Francisco" to you, it might mean something special to other people, so send it in!
Perhaps it's cliché or maybe your own hidden gem; whatever it is, be it Lombard Street, the Mission District, the Monastery, the Bay Bridge, Union Square, the Sentinel Building, Stockton Tunnel, the Castro Theater or some other aspect of the San Francisco visual landscape, feel free to join this photo exhibit project. Maybe your personal take on The City has nothing to do with these landmarks; it's all up for grabs...pictorially speaking!
PHOTO SUBMISSION DETAILS: There is no fee to enter.
