- (1888PressRelease) January 02, 2016 - Inspired by the huge success of the National Indigenous Women's Conference for two consecutive years in Cairns and in Darwin, the event organizers are now calling for papers for the 2016 Global Indigenous Women's Conference scheduled on September 12-14, 2016 at Stamford Grand Hotel Glenelg Adelaide, South Australia. The aim is to provide a platform for Indigenous Women to celebrate their achievements in life within their home, family, community and workplace.
The event will focus on empowerment, strong leadership and self-determination of Aboriginal women globally. Throughout the three day event, we will be facilitating small group discussions with First Nation's Women Guest Speakers from all around the globe. The event emphasizes the positives of Indigenous resilience and determination to strive for a better tomorrow without the constraints of the negative stereotyping which is more prevalent due to social media and bad media coverage.
As part of our commitment to grassroots communities, fifty percent of the conference agenda items are allocated to community programs and services. Hence, we invite Indigenous Women to share their personal journeys, success stories of empowerment, leadership as well as challenges in implementing community programs for Indigenous Women. .
