Call for Entries for the 4th Cat-City InternationalCat Show
More than 200 cats of various pedigrees from allover the world are expected to compete for the top spot.
- Baltimore, MD (1888PressRelease) July 21, 2011 - There is definitely no better place in the world than Malaysia's veryown cat-city, Kuching, for cat lovers and enthusiasts to converge for the upcoming 4th Cat-City International Cat Show.
The international show which will be held on 15 October 2011 at the KuchingCivic Centre is jointly organized by the North Kuching City Hall (DBKU) withthe collaboration of the Sarawak Cat Club, Sarawak Cat Museum, Cat Fanciers Association (CFA) and supported by Sarawak Convention Bureau (SCB).
Around 200 cats and their owners are expected to arrive from China, HongKong, Thailand, United States of America, Holland, France, Singapore, Indonesiaand many other countries to compete for various categories.
President of Sarawak Cat Club, Dr Huey Lee said the cats will be judgedaccording to the international standards set by the CFA.
"Cats will be judged according to its beauty, uniqueness, health and temperament. Playful and alert cats will definitely win more marks compared tocats that are timid or show signs of fear," she said.
Dr Huey added that this year, there will be four judges; three from USAand one from Australia.
Apart from the competition, there will also be stewarding, grooming andnetworking workshops for the exhibitors and participants.
Sarawak Cat Club is currently calling for entries. Closing date is 2October 2011.
