Sheltering Books is a charity founded by Mackenzie Bearup of Alpharetta, Georgia. The story behind the founding of the charity is touching, and it has blossomed in the six years since its inception. To date, over 120,000 books have been donated to Sheltering Books, which distributes them to homeless shelters across the United States.
Mackenzie's mother Beth Ann spoke on behalf of the organization, and vibrantly expressed that their non-profit organization is, "thrilled to be partnering with Skye Dickenson and anxious to get his books into the hands of kids in need," adding, "I think the book is a very fun, unique and effective way to learn the alphabet."
