CAI Annual Committee Retreat Focuses on Giving Back to Community

The Future All-Stars (FAST) committee was formed at the CAI New Jersey chapter with the outcome to provide opportunities for the future leaders of CAI-NJ. The opportunities include civic outreach, professional development, and business networking activities.

Mission and Goals of FAST

The FAST committee was formed with the mission of ensuring that the future CAI-NJ leaders are provided with opportunities, which would help them get wholly immersed in the industry.

The committee is intended to act as a catalyst for future leaders to make significant and measurable impacts, both in their professional and personal lives and in the communities they serve.

FAST Annual Retreat
The FAST committee met recently at the CAI annual retreat for strategic planning with the other CAI committees. In these planning sessions, the committees set a schedule of events, established their goals, and review their mission.

The FAST committee focus on their primary mission…to bridge the professional gap that exists between the established and the new generations in the industry which comprise the CAI-NJ leadership.

FAST decided that its efforts will not only focus on giving leaders professional development but also develop and create philanthropic initiatives to give back to communities.

This includes initiatives such as School Supply and Adopt A Family programs. For professional development, the committee will delegate experienced members to pass their knowledge to the newly enrolled members.

FAST will also support events for breast cancer awareness, and the Make-a-wish Foundation.

FAST Support Programs
Since its formation, FAST is in its fourth year and its membership has doubled from to 24 from their original 12 members. The committee sponsored the recent New Jersey Special Olympics and is actively involved in the networking and training events which cover professional topics including public speaking, social media and industry awareness.
