Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation Launches Giving Tuesday Fundraising Campaign
CEDC's Giving Tuesday Fundraising Campaign aims to provide Little Free Libraries for underserved communities.
- Ventura, CA (1888PressRelease) December 02, 2023 - Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation (CEDC), the largest developer of affordable homes in Ventura County, is excited to announce its Giving Tuesday fundraising campaign aimed at bringing Little Free Libraries to its properties. Giving Tuesday, a global generosity movement, offers individuals the opportunity to make a difference through their generous donations.
CEDC believes in the transformative power of reading and the joy it brings to communities. The 2023 Giving Tuesday campaign is focused on building Little Free Libraries in CEDC's properties, which will serve as spaces for sharing books, stories, and the love of reading.
“By supporting CEDC's Giving Tuesday campaign, your generosity will help us realize this vision, said Denise Bickerstaff, CEDC Director of Business Development and Administration. “With your donation, we will be able to construct book kiosks right in front of our properties, providing easy access to books and fostering a love for reading among residents.”
Each Little Library is estimated to cost $400 to install and stock with free books for the community to enjoy. To magnify the impact of each donation, CEDC’s business sponsors have generously offered a 2-for-1 match for every Little Free Library that is funded through This year’s Giving Tuesday campaign. This means each gift not only doubles in value but also has the power to make a significant difference in the lives of local community members.
