- (1888PressRelease) June 25, 2011 - Cénacle de La Lumière (CCDL) is launching GO RIGHT® 2011 World Drug Day Campaign in line with the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on 26 June.
Drug use and abuse is a big threat to the Lebanese youth, families and society, this is the reason behind Cénacle de La Lumière's commitment to drive positive changes.
GO RIGHT® 2011 calls for active support from the youth to "Make a Statement and Take Action" on World Drug Day. Through media and online channels, the campaign uses latest technologies such as direct e-mail, an information-rich webpage, and social media channels, such as Facebook and YouTube, to spread drug awareness and inspire people to make right choices in life free from drugs.
The GO RIGHT® 2011 Campaign engages the youth and encourages them to take part in the campaign by liking Cénacle de La Lumière's Facebook Fan Page, participating in discussions and changing their profile picture and status to: Think before you sink; CHOOSE not to lose; Don't be deceived, instead BELIEVE in the great you can ACHIEVE; Forget about neglect, it will drain you from all RESPECT. The campaign also provides drug facts informing the youth on the reality of drugs and their destructive effects on lives.
The campaign is also spreading to the Lebanese night life, a very vulnerable place where youth are exposed to drugs and social pressure. The campaign awareness messages will be distributed on coasters at the hot spots around Lebanon: Jbeil, Jounieh, Monot, Hamra and Gemmayze.

Cénacle de La Lumière (CDLL) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 2007. Its mission is to serve individuals suffering from drug addiction problems as well as their families. The NGO also strives to engage today's youth to lead a life based on strong values away from drugs.

26 June is the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1987, this day serves as a reminder of the need to combat the problems illicit drugs pose to our society.
