Denver, CO (1888PressRelease) September 17, 2010 - The first week of October, two Colorado entrepreneurs, Nick May and Matt Johnson, will launch a first-of-its kind iPhone application called Group Trivia. iPhone app game enthusiasts across the world will be given a new way to interact and challenge each other with trivia questions. To celebrate, May and Johnson are hosting a GT iPhone App Beta Party on Sept. 21 at Water 2 Wine 9608 East Arapahoe Road in Greenwood Village.

The party will be a way for participants with an iPhone to test the app, download it for free, mix and mingle with wine, and learn what it takes to launch an app.

"We wanted to create an app that was unique and fun- one that gave users the ability to challenge and play trivia with friends from anywhere in the world." said Matt Johnson, owner of Mindful Software LLC in Denver. "The questions are fun and most are really easy."

Questions include: "Who had a 70s No 1 hit with Stayin' Alive?," "In Miami Vice, what was Crockett's first name?," "Which San Francisco team did Joe Montana play for through most of the 80s?," and more.

The Group Trivia app is currently scheduled to launch the first week in October and will utilize the social nature of the game as its promotion. This app will be available through the Apple app store, and users will be able to try the five free games before deciding to purchase. Group Trivia will grow organically throughout friend groups worldwide. After the first five games the app can be purchased for $2.99.

"iPhone app users have never seen a game like this," said May, who originally had the idea for the trivia app. "It's unique because there aren't any games out there where you can invite all your friends, wherever they are, to play a game of trivia with you. We are taking bar-room trivia, and bringing it to you - wherever you are."
