Butterball, LLC Huntsville Facility Achieves 7 Million Hours Without a Lost-Time Injury
Leading Turkey Producer Reaches Employee Safety Milestone.

This achievement represents five years without a work-related injury or illness by the facility's 630 employees, further demonstrating the success of the company's award-winning employee safety program.
During a luncheon held at the company's Huntsville, Ark., facility Wed., May 2,
James L. Salkeld, director of the Arkansas Department of Labor, commended facility management for their continued commitment to creating a safe work environment.

By adhering to standards developed by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration's Voluntary Protection Program (OSHA VPP), Butterball employs an industry-recognized safety program that has secured numerous accolades. The turkey producer's Huntsville location consistently delivers safety performance that exceeds poultry industry standards as compiled by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. Additionally, the facility received the Award of Honor for safety excellence from the American Meat Institute (AMI) in March 2012.
