Butler County Challenger Baseball League Sends Seven Teams to the 2011 State Tournament.
- Cincinnati, OH-KY-IN (1888PressRelease) July 20, 2011 - The Butler County Challenger Baseball League, a baseball league for children with special needs, will be bringing seven teams comprised of 68 players to this year's State Tournament on July 23, 2011 at the Foundation Fields in Barberton, Ohio.
This year's tournament is expected to bring in over 1,000 children and their families from all over the state of Ohio. The Ohio State Troopers Coalition will be sponsoring this year's event and will present each child with a medal at the end of the tournament.
"We are excited that we are able to bring so many of the children and their families to this year's tournament," said Alan Lakamp, president of the league. "It is a great opportunity for the children and their families to meet others from around the state while playing the great American sport of baseball."
This year's trip was funded by the 2011 Butler County Challenger Baseball golf outing, helping more families and players to attend this year's tournament. The tournament games will start
