Busted Knuckle Productions Announces Jared Drake as Director for Comedy Hit The Road Home
Busted Knuckle Productions have announced the attachment of Jared Drake to their comedic film The Road Home. This film involves two friends trying to find love and success in the competitive world of film.
- (1888PressRelease) February 12, 2013 - Los Angeles, CA - Jared Drake (Visioneers) has signed on to direct the feature film The Road Home. Award-winning filmmakerHunter G. Williams (Cornered) and Chris Hayes (The Whispering Dead) penned the comedy and Hayes will be playing one of the leads. Joining Hayes and Williams is an all-star ensemble cast include: Lily Tomlin, Kelly Overton ("True Blood"), Scott Michael Campbell (Brokeback Mountain), Kristen Ruhlin (She Wants Me), Rebecca Blumhagen (The Girls Guide to Depravity) and Tess Kartel (The Other Guys). The producers are in talks with Rachel Bilson, Cody Horn, and Alexis Knapp for the female leads.
Williams, originally set to direct, commented:
"The film is about two guys coming to terms with what it means to be an adult in today's society, a Sideways for The Hangover crowd. Jared was an obvious choice for director and his sense of humor is perfect for this type of film."
Jared Drake also just finished writing HBO's Rainbow Dreams withBrian Posehn ("Sarah Silverman Program") and Mary Lynn Rajskub ("24"). The Road Home will be Jared's first feature since his debut with Visioneers.
Synopsis: "Devon Carmichael's peaceful life turns to ruin when he loses his job, his apartment and his girlfriend, in the same day. AsDevon's depression begins to set in, his best friend Mike, a successful television actor, persuades him to take a road trip through California's central coast. What they find is fun, debauchery and even love."
