Businesses Get 'Fired Up' About High Performance At Vybrant Organisation's Olympic Torch Themed Event
Vybrant Organisation took advantage of the Olympic torch passing its HQ in Berkshire by hosting an event for companies looking to achieve outstanding levels of achievement through developing high performance behaviours in their people.
- (1888PressRelease) July 13, 2012 - Vybrant Organisation took full advantage of the Olympic torch passing its HQ in Thatcham, Berkshire on 11th July by hosting an event for companies looking to achieve outstanding levels of achievement through developing high performance behaviours in their people.
The event featured inspirational speakers from the top levels of business and sport - including a world record-holding paraglider and the man in charge of producing the medals for London 2012.
Under the banner 'Igniting higher performance', participants from a wide range of companies heard compelling success stories from the sporting world, where high performance makes the difference between win or lose.
They also learned the secrets of leaders and managers who consistently develop world-beating capabilities and top-class performance in their teams through a strategic focus on behaviour.
Alan Sears, Vybrant Organisation's Head Honcho, said: "Everyone tapped into the London 2012 spirit - and our speakers definitely 'sparked' plenty of ideas about how to build high performance strategies. The common theme running through all the presentations was that there is a clear set of core and differentiating behaviours which are indicative of high performance in a wide variety of settings - and it is these that businesses need to identify and foster. Develop them in individuals and teams, and the whole organisation raises its game."
Phil Braybrooke, global leadership development expert, explained how behavioural strategies focused on differentiators of high performance have helped his Velocity 3 in 1 international junior cycling race team build talent and develop success on an international platform.
Simon Walker - a specialist in team dynamics and leadership who skippered the yacht 'Toshiba' in the BT Global Challenge round the world race - considered the impact of changing attitudes, values and behaviours on business performance.
Sarah Fenwick - a sports psychologist who holds three paragliding world records and now works with athletes and extreme expeditions - shared the secrets of mental and physical preparation which enable people to step beyond their comfort zone to achieve their full potential.
Adam Lawrence, Chief Executive of the Royal Mint, which is currently producing the Olympic and Paralympic gold, silver and bronze medals, explained the leadership challenges involved in transforming the Royal Mint into a truly world class organisation.
