- Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) October 15, 2011 - The American Academy of Pediatrics have proven children are twice as safe on a booster seat compared to using a vehicle seat belt alone. The IIHS (Insurance Institute of Highway Safety) released this week their "Best Bets" car booster seat evaluation report and have branded BubbleBum as one of the best!
BubbleBum is the world's first inflatable car booster seat for kids ages 4-11. What is truly innovative with BubbleBum is that through the use of inflatable technology, parents can keep their kids safer on every journey, solving the issues of inconvenience that most parents and carers face daily. The globally award-winning seat weighs in at approximately 1lb, making it easy to carry in a backpack or even a purse.
One of the main barriers to booster seat use is the resistance of children to ride on a "baby seat." BubbleBum has taken advice from their junior board of directors and developed a color scheme that is truly funky and cool, making it desirable to children. The narrow design makes fitting three boosters across the back a reality! No more busted knuckles trying to buckle that third booster seat.
Many life saving devices are made from inflatable technology, such as life rafts, life jackets and air bags. The use of memory foam technology creates stability and structural integrity in the seat with side positioners to correctly position the lapbelt.
IIHS is an independent, nonprofit, scientific and educational organization dedicated to reducing the losses--deaths, injuries and property damage--from crashes on the nation's highways. The IIHS booster seat evaluation started ranking three years ago, categorizing seats under "Best Bet," "Good Bets," "Not Recommended" and "Check Fit." The ranking system tests lap and shoulder belt fit for typical 4-to-8-year-olds in cars, minivans and SUVs. The highly influential evaluation has determined the success and failure of many booster seats in the past years, and many poor ranked seats have been taken off the market.
