- Denver, CO (1888PressRelease) June 16, 2011 - Bryant & Stratton College Online today announced the launch of its new Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. The BBA in Accounting is Bryant & Stratton College's fifth online bachelor's degree program. The new online degree program not only places a strong emphasis on accounting concepts, but students will also benefit from a solid business foundation through complementary courses in management, finance, technology, marketing and business law, as well as gain critical business thinking skills through operations management and strategic planning courses. Graduates will be prepared for positions such as staff, tax or management accountant; financial, revenue or budget analyst; financial manager, internal auditor or business manager.
"Bryant & Stratton College Online's newly launched Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting program is a natural extension of our popular BBA in General Management," said Scott Traylor, Associate Campus Director of Online Education at Bryant & Stratton College. "We decided to develop a BBA in Accounting in response to employer and student demand and we are thrilled to meet the need for a business administration program with a concentration in accounting."
The program is designed to train students to become contributors in the workplace. Graduates will be prepared to:
• Recognize the commonalities between financial theory and tax law and the economic and social policy issues of taxation.
• Record and report financial information using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Solve technology challenges, maintain systems, analyze data and communicate results using business related computer applications.
• Judge appropriate ethical behaviors that follow the laws and regulations applicable to accounting practice.
• Integrate theory, knowledge and technology to interpret financial and non-financial information to aid decision makers within an organization.
Currently the BBA-Accounting program is not available to students in Arkansas, New York or Ohio. Also, prospective students should note that the program is not intended to provide preparation for the Certified Public Accountant exam.
