Bryant & Stratton College Online Announces a Free Webinar For Medical Administrative Assistants
Registrations are being accepted now for the February 22 webinar.
- (1888PressRelease) February 16, 2011 - BUFFALO, NY - Bryant & Stratton College Online announced today that it is hosting a free online tune-up clinic to help medical administrative assistants refresh their skills amid industry changes. The online clinic is for current Bryant & Stratton College students, prospective students and medical administrative professionals. The clinic will be held on Tuesday, February 22 at noon EST and will last for about one hour. It will cover new and emerging regulations and changes for medical administrative assistants including the complex changes with HIPAA 5010 and ICD-10; with HIPAA 5010 alone there are more than 1,000 modifications and ICD-10 has about five times more codes.
"As 2010 wrapped up we looked back at all the changes in the health care industry in the past year and we wanted to find a way to help our graduates and healthcare professionals stay up-to-date," said Amber Krasny, faculty member of Health Sciences at Bryant & Stratton College Online. "This tune-up clinic will give people insight into what the changes mean, who the changes affect and how to stay on top of the shifts in the industry."
Krasny has worked at Bryant & Stratton College Online for nearly four years and will lead the online clinic. She has more than ten years of medical claims management and processing experience and is currently working on her doctorate in Healthcare Administration & Human Services with CPC and CMRS certifications.
