Bruichladdich Whisky Distillery Wins 2012 Trip Advisor Award
Bruichladdich Distillery is very proud to have been awarded a Certificate of Excellence for the year 2012 by TripAdvisor.
- (1888PressRelease) July 03, 2012 - TripAdvisor, founded in 2000, is the world's largest single travel site, based entirely on traveller comments and reviews and the sharing of information. It is considered by many users to be the most unbiased and reliable source of travel information online.
Recent studies suggest as little as 14% of users trust official brand messages and advertising in comparison with around 90% trust for peer to peer recommendation. It is upon this basis that TripAdvisor is founded and its recommendations carry all the more weight for it.
The success of this user-generated model has found common ground in eBay's Feedback Ratings and Amazon's 5 star reviews - users trust each other.

Bruichladdich is an innovative artisan distillery producing Islay single malt whisky. Privately-owned, it distils 700,000 litres annually from mainly un-peated barley from 28 Scottish farms, half organically grown, half from Islay itself. Exceptionally tall, narrow-necked stills make the renowned elegant and floral Bruichladdich spirit, which matures in both French and American oak casks, breathing Islay's marine Hebridean air. Bruichladdich is bottled on site at 46% with Islay spring water, free from colouring and non chill-filtered. Botanist Gin, peaty Port Charlotte and Octomore, the world's most heavily peated whisky, are also distilled here.
