Brooks Gourmet Burgers & Dogs names Girls on the Run as July Charity of the Month, seeks additional non-profit partners
Downtown Naples Florida restaurant, Brooks Gourmet Burgers and Dogs, has partnered with Girls on the Run as their July Charity of the Month. They hope to find other non-profits to collaborate with as well.
- Naples-Marco Island, FL (1888PressRelease) July 18, 2014 - Brooks Gourmet Burgers & Dogs, a family-owned restaurant voted Naples' Best Burgers, is donating a percentage of sales each month to a different Collier County charity. Throughout the month of July, proceeds from Brooks will benefit Girls on the Run of Collier County, a life-changing character development program for girls ages 8-12.
"July is 'Sponsor a Girl' month for Girls on the Run of Collier County and so I thought they would be the perfect charity to align with to kick-off this new initiative to give back to our community," says Todd Brooks, owner of Brooks Gourmet Burgers and Dogs. "My wife and I are small business owners with a passion to make our home an even greater place to live in than it already is. We hope the community will come in to not only support us, but the organizations that make Collier County such a great place."
Brooks is looking for charities to align with in future months. Organizations will receive a percentage of proceeds from the month, have an opportunity to leave marketing materials and have a kick-off party hosted by Brooks Burgers.
"We are so appreciate of the Brooks family for opening their doors to us and helping us raise awareness about Girls on the Run," says Christine McConnelee, Executive Director of Girls on the Run of Collier County. "While Girls on the Run is big nationally, we're still growing here locally. We want people to know our mission is to teach and inspire young girls to be healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum, which integrates running. Last season 33 percent of our girls were on some sort of scholarship, so community initiatives like this are imperative to our success."
The family owned restaurant located just north of Fifth Avenue South offers more than a dozen different burgers, turkey burgers, veggie burgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs, soup, salads, beer, wine, milkshakes and more.
