British Science Fiction Writer Michael Bond Launches Hell World Film/Graphic Art Novel Series On Kickstarter
British science fiction writer and technology innovator Michael Bond has launched a kickstarter appeal to raise the first stage funds for a new science fiction film/graphic novel series entitled Hell World.
- (1888PressRelease) October 08, 2013 - British science fiction and film screenwriter Michael Bond has launched a crowd funding campaign to raise the first round of development money for a new series of major science fiction films, Hell World, in the style of the Alien, Predator and Riddick films. The campaign for the Hell World series is being run through Kickstarter to appeal to thousands of science fiction enthusiasts around the world for their support. It's focus is to raise enough money to develop the first Hell World film script and publish it as a new graphic art novel and reward all Bond's supporters with a signed limited edition copy.
The Hell World campaign will run for thirty days. With the limitations of crowd funding Bond can only take the first step to present his ideas to potential film industry investors. He plans to turn the first story and screenplay into a graphic art novel to demonstrate the story's potential and raise film production funding from entertainment industry investors. Publishing the script as a graphic art novel will draw on his previous experience creating a book of satirical art, The Little Book Of Happiness, with British artists, inspired by British politics a couple of years ago.
The Hell World story is Bond's ambition to kick-start a major new science fiction film series, with upto sixteen film concepts already drawn up for future development. The stories follow the discovery, exploration and threat to mankind from a new world of vicious alien creatures and the darker dangers hidden in that world's mysteries. If successful the launch will lead to further film development and the prospect of a range of spin-offs including more graphic art novels and a Hell World-inspired science fiction drama-thriller TV show. Bond plans a production offices to be based in the UK for the next twenty years of Hell World production and management so he can oversee the work and take advantage of tax and financial benefits for all backers.
