Wreck Shop Movement & 4 Life Ent. Present: The Bridgin Gaps festival August 5th & 6th 12pm to 8pm
The Bridgin' Gaps Festival is an entertaining and educational platform for the local community to come together in celebration of the arts and the work of local organizations that are making an impact in the community. The festival is a pilot to introduce ideas for ongoing year round programs that educate, inspire and build community. The festival is centered around the arts and community enrichment.
Performances range from local and non local recording artists, live bands, visual artists, dance groups, poets and other performance styles. There will be guest speakers from various non profits and charitable organizations highlighting the work they do and inform people how they can get involved or support these organizations. The music caters to various generations, from doowop to hip hop. There will be live painting, musicians and entertainers performing throughout the park. The activities will be for the youth and families such as face painting and frisbee.
All donations will be tax deductible through, North Shore Community Workers Fund. The more people that support, the larger the festival will become each year. If all goes well they may even produce a festival in Lynn. All donors names will be listed on a mura, “Wall of Gratitude” at the festival.
There are currently 22 local non profit organizations participating this year and the list is growing. We are crowdfunding the festival and we intend on hiring homeless people in our area to distribute flyers, put up posters and help us set up and break down the event. The way we do it fosters a deeper sense of self worth and connects them with valuable resources and opportunities.
We welcome more non profit organizations centered around social, environmental or economic justice. They can reach me at wreckshop101 ( @ ) gmail dot com We are welcoming non food vendors dot They can reach me at the same email above dot
