Bottle Hill Dayis Madison's annual town festival and street fair held on the first Saturday of October. It is a rain or shine event open to all and free of charge. Madison residents, businesses and community organizations participate in this fun-filled day of food, entertainment, and shopping to raise money for the town. Some of the days events include: live music from local bands and the Original Music School, rock climbing sponsored by Blue Ridge Mountain Sports, an auto show featuring assorted cars and awards, a food court with tasty samplings from Madison's best eateries, loads of family activities including a dance contest and moonwalk, and in the evening fireworks along with a student pep rally and bonfire. Bridge Kitchenware Corporation is a small second generation, family-owned business which opened its doors in New York City in 1946. The lateFred Bridge had a storage facility down in the Bowery District of Manhattan and used a delivery truck to meet with and sell to restaurants and hotels. He later opened a small store at Third Avenue and 33rd Street. Over the years, father and sons worked side-by-side in the kitchenware business. Bridge Kitchenware later moved to a larger location at 212 East 52nd Street, and then just next door to 214 East 52nd Street where they remained for 23 years. In June 2005 Bridge Kitchenware moved to 711 Third Avenue(entry on 45th Street) with 48 feet of window space and 3,000 square feet of showroom. In July 2008 Bridge Kitchenware said goodbye to New York City and made a move, with family in mind, for a better quality of life. They moved temporarily into a warehouse in East Hanover, New Jersey and then down the street to 563 Eagle Rock Avenuein Roseland, New Jersey. In mid-September 2011 Bridge Kitchenware opened a small retail store at 17 Waverly Place in Madison, New Jersey. The store is steps away from NJ Transit's Madison Train Station (Midtown Direct line to New York City). New York City customers who don't care to make the trip can always order on-line at the easy to use website. Bridge Kitchenwarehas had many visitors from New York driving to see them in New Jersey, as well as from as far away as Texas, Tennessee, Oregon and Illinois!
