  • Pensacola-Ferry Pass-Brent, FL (1888PressRelease) June 16, 2024 - Santa Rosa County, FL - Brenda Stephens, resident of Navarre and proclaimed Republican, recently stepped down from Moms for Liberty where Stephens recently held the position - Treasurer - of the Santa Rosa County’s Chapter (SRCC). Moms for Liberty is an organization dedicated to fighting for the survival of America by unifying, educating and empowering parents to defend their parental rights at all levels of government. Her choice to step down comes after her recent qualification to be on the ballot for Superintendent of Schools Santa Rosa County (SRC) District. She stated that while she believes in their mission and vision whole-heartedly, her campaign deserves her “full and undivided attention”. She made a statement last week wishing the local, SRC Chapter ‘Moms for Liberty’ the best upon her departure.

When asked why Mrs. Stephens is running for Superintendent and why she should be elected, she stated that she was born in Venezuela and watched communism destroy her country. She witnessed the devastating effects of Socialism and how it stole the prosperity and riches of Latin America. According to Stephens, “the writing is on the wall and the threat could not be more evident”. The same socialist policies that destroyed a once prosperous Venezuela are quickly being imposed on our beautiful republic, including in our educational system. She stated that based on her background and experience, she feels she can make the most impact to serve America by becoming the next Superintendent of Schools in Santa Rosa County Florida.

Mrs. Stephens has a Bachelor’s & Master’s Degree in Education and Human Resources and 30+ years of experience in the corporate world at all levels of HR, training, and leadership. As a former educator, she plans to return schools back to the basics. She wants to eliminate waste in the budget and prioritize teacher compensation and benefits. She wants to improve policies on safety, drugs, and human trafficking which has become one of the nation’s hot topics in recent news. She plans to develop and encourage higher levels of teaching, and she has made the promise to remove all WOKE and obscene materials from SRC schools utilizing current Florida legislation. In fact, one of her leading campaign messages is “A Vote for Brenda Stephens is a Vote for Education, Not Indoctrination”.

Mrs. Stephens obtained her US citizenship over 28 years ago. She is a Christian, a proud American and a small business owner of a successful moving labor company. She has an educational background as well as an entrepreneurial spirit that she can bring to the position should she be elected as Superintendent of Schools.

In closing, Mrs. Stephens is asking for your vote. She said here is why you should vote for her: “The United States education system is becoming weaker and weaker by the day. Ignoring the basic educational principles established by our founding fathers like Benjamin Rush will only further destroy our children’s future for generations to come. Prior to the 1960’s, the United States had the most educated people in the world and was on the leading edge of innovation. Today, we are ranked 13th, according to the United Nations’ Human Development Index from 2022. We don’t have any more time to waste. We must RESTORE the educational system now!”

She has invited the citizens and parents of Santa Rosa County to join her campaign, in the fight to ‘Make Education Great Again’. You can learn more about Brenda Stephens, her campaign and agenda to serve as Superintendent of Schools in Santa Rosa County, Florida at www.votebrendastephens.com.
