Breakthrough Invention: 3D-Flow OPRA -advancing science, saving lives, fighting terrorism
A revolutionary electronic instrument for fast, multidimensional Object Pattern Real-Time Recognition Algorithms (OPRA) on ultra-high speed data arriving from a matrix of thousands of transducers.
- (1888PressRelease) January 13, 2016 - The 3D-Flow OPRA is a breakthrough invention (patent pending), a new electronic instrument and device to solve target application problems:
-In High Energy Physics (HEP), it provides staggering technological and scientific advantages as a powerful tool for discovering new subatomic particles and reducing the cost of HEP experiments;
-in Medical Imaging, it provides a powerful tool for early detection of cancer and other diseases, providing physicians with more accurate information to improve diagnoses, prognoses and the monitoring of treatments, potentially saving millions of lives and reducing healthcare costs;
-in the Fight Against Terrorism, it can identify potential threats from terroristic groups by quickly identifying those responsible, finding that needle in a haystack;
-it provides a powerful tool to advance research by analyzing, identifying and/or triggering on specific frames in fast chemical processes, or normal cell mutation into cancerous cells, from biological or chemical processes acquired by movie camera at over 100 million frames per second;
-it provides a tool to understand the dynamics before and after metals or other materials under stress break the structure of their molecules, etc.
The 3D-Flow OPRA extracts ALL valuable information from radiation, by executing specialized instructions (or "OPRA steps" for an optimized Object Pattern Real-Time Recognition Algorithm). At each "step" each processor in the array of thousands of 3D-Flow processors can execute up to 26 operations such as add, subtract, compare with 24 values, etc., in less than 3 nanoseconds.
It has the capability of fast data exchange with neighboring processors and can execute uninterruptable complex algorithms for a time longer than the time between two consecutive input data sets by adding layers of 3D-Flow processors communicating through a bypass switch assuring zero dead-time.
The 3D-Flow OPRA invented in 1992 could be considered the third generation of electronic instruments, following the invention of the Oscilloscope invented in the late 19th century and the invention of the Logic State Analyzer invented in 1973.
I proved feasibility and functionality in hardware on two modular boards each with 68 x 3D-Flow processors, suitable for building 3D-Flow systems for matrices of transducers of any size, and have detailed the design of all components needed to build a 3D-Flow system.
