- (1888PressRelease) April 30, 2013 - Breakaway Entertainment announces today the US-Canada release to radio of Herrick's lead single, "Do You Love Me". Available now at iTunes and all digital providers.
Nashville based band Herrick is comprised of Donna Herrick (Mandolin/Lead vocals), Kerry Herrick (Bass/Vocals), Jeff Bradshaw (Drums/ Percussion), and Jefferson Rogers (Lead Guitar/ Lap Steel/Acoustic).
Originally formed in Spokane Washington, this four-piece act writes its own music, including the new single, "Do You Love Me."
The band is brimming with showmanship and attitude with tight/strong vocals & harmonies. Herrick's live high energy live performance translates seamlessly to the recorded project, NEW DANCE on BreakAway Entertainment.
Collaborating with co-producers Michael Bonagura (Baillie and the Boys) and Buddy Cannon (Kenny Chesney, Sara Evans) Herrick has truly pushed themselves to new heights both as Song writers and as performers. The disc's lead single is the bluesy and upbeat "Do You Love Me,"written by Husband /Wife band members, Donna and Kerry Herrick.
When Kerry and Donna wrote the song, they really intended to write unconstrained by "formulas". "We tapped into our emotions and just let it ride..." says Donna. "We never write to a template or try and calculate how a tune might sell in some market. It just comes out of us naturally as we pull a song together. It's very organic. "Do You Love Me" was written within the first hour," she explains. "We weren't thinking, 'Let's write a big hit single.' It was more like, 'Let's geek out with some weird melodies and see what happens.' I'm very glad we did."
A music video for the song, was previously released and captures Herrick's passion for performing. Check it out here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEsrm2LaBsA
