Brass Nuts ventures into extrusion
Brass Nuts and inserts India (BNI) is launching its newextrusion plant for extruding hex rods, billets, tubes and ingots of Brass, Copper and Bronze in Dared Gujarat plant.
- (1888PressRelease) July 24, 2011 - Brass Nuts and Inserts India, which has been known for manufacturing of Brass fittings, with exports to 322 countries and a turnover of US$12-mn, has planned to scale up its operations in India by adding a new non-ferrous metal extrusion unit for Brass, Bronze and Copper rods/ingots/billets with a capacity for 450 tons/month. This entails an outlay of US$14-million. The project will be set up in GIDC phase II of Jamnagar.
The plant for this project is being brought in from Spain and the financial arrangements are being done with Kotak Bank. The commercial production will begin in about three months from now and the focused market is USA.
Non ferrous ingots and billets are used for metal casting worldwide by Brass, Copper, Bronze and non-ferrous metal foundries. Brass hexagonal and round rods are used for machining worldwide for various engineering applications like fastening, hydraulics, pneumatics, fastening, electrical, electronics, etc. Non-ferrous metal industry is growing at good pace and the company sees year-on-year growth of about 16 percent for next three years
