  • New York, NY (1888PressRelease) February 04, 2014 - Interactive copywriting contest platform CopyShoppy.com exited public beta at the turn of the New Year 2014, and recently welcomed its thousandth member to its copywriting community. Members of CopyShoppy's copywriting community enter contests launched by clients who need to arm themselves with effective brand names, taglines, and powerful copywriting to help their businesses succeed in an evermore-challenging modern marketplace.

"This marks a big milestone for us", says Founder & CEO of CopyShoppy, Asad Khan. "The first year of operations was a critical development year, where we continuously improved the user experience and functionality of the platform. Now that the site is officially out of public beta, and our copywriting community has reached the thousand-member mark, we are officially inviting startups and small businesses to host contests for their business names, product names, offline and online ads, and marketing materials. We are excited to bring our innovative solution for business naming and copywriting to startups and small businesses in 2014."

CopyShoppy recently hosted an unsolicited community contest to find the perfect tagline for TechCrunch.com, one of the bigger names in tech media blogging. The contest received 66 entries with notable submissions such as, "Know IT. First", "Technology's Homepage", and "Profiling Tomorrows Technology Today", but ultimately CopyShoppy selected "TechCrunch: Big News, Byte Sized" as the winner.

The winner, Bob Tallman, received a $205 cash prize and bragging rights.

"There is so much emphasis on design nowadays," says Khan, "and as a result, the written communication between a company and their current and potential customers is neglected."

He adds, "I wanted to create a service that provides affordable and valuable copywriting services for startups and small businesses. One word, even one letter, can be the difference between one sale or 100 - CopyShoppy aims to get clients hosting contests on the site closer to the latter. That's why we recently introduced combination contests, such as the Business Name, Tagline & Available Domain contest. For only $229, an entrepreneur or startup can launch a singular contest for their business name, tagline and domain name, and receive 50+ options from talented copywriters."
