Boys and Girls Clubs of North Central Texas Announce Kids and Tailwaggers 1Mile Dog Walk Fun Run and Woofapalooza Benefitting at-risk Youth
Inaugural event fun for your favorite four-legged family member and families too.
- Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) January 24, 2017 - The Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Texas announced they are hosting "Kids and Tailwaggers" a 5k fun run, 1 mile dog walk and Woofapalooza Benefit that will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Sycamore Bend Park, Lake Lewisville in Hickory Creek, Texas.
"We are very excited to offer our first Kids and Tailwaggers event for dog lovers and runners" Rick Troutman, President said. "Families across Denton County can bring their favorite canine to enjoy a run or walk and our Woofapalooza by the shores of beautiful Lake Lewisville and help benefit at-risk youth in Denton County", Troutman stated.
According to Troutman, the event will include a formally sanctioned 5k run, 1 mile fun dog walk followed by the free Woofapalooza that features a Kids Zone with costume contest, bounce house, face painting, balloon artist, a Dog Zone with paw painting, dog cake walk and fetch and retrieve contest. A variety of vendors that include both running and dog specialties will be available for attendees to visit. Local shelters will be displaying dogs that are ready for adoption and local food trucks will be available to purchase breakfast or lunch.
"Our team of staff and volunteers are all dog aficionados and we want to make Kids and Tailwaggers an entertaining experience that all members of the family can enjoy especially those of the canine persuasion", Troutman said.
