Boston Marketing Agency Captains of Industry(R) Announces Non-Profit Partnership with Empower Generation
Captains of Industry uses innovative video technique, kinetic typography, to tell the story of start-up social enterprise, Empower Generation, helping them access potential partners and financiers, and meet fundraising goals.
- Boston, MA-NH (1888PressRelease) May 25, 2011 - Boston marketing, web design, and video production firm Captains of Industry has recently partnered with fledgling organization, Empower Generation to help them reach initial fundraising goals. Empower Generation, founded by Anya Cherneff and Bennett Cohen, is dedicated to fostering change in the developing world by supporting the construction of renewable energy projects run by female entrepreneurs living in Asia.
Captains of Industry created a video story and social media strategy to support Empower Generation's first project-a loan, given in partnership with the NGO ChangeFusion Nepal, that provides guidance and start-up funds for a Nepalese woman to start a renewable energy maintenance and servicing company in her community.
Captains of Industry worked with Empower Generation to articulate their mission/vision on screen, creating a piece that would help them tell their story and reach both short and long term goals. Captains used kinetic typography to create the piece, helping Empower Generation quickly and effectively articulate the organization's goals and process. Additionally, after assessing their current outreach strategies, Captains created systematic Twitter and Blog programs for Empower Generation to use to engage with potential funders and partners.
Anya Cherneff, Director of Empower Generation, said of the relationship "Captains of Industry quickly understood our vision and values, and helped us find our online voice. As a young social enterprise, we really appreciate Captains of Industry's creativity and professionalism."
The effort with Empower Generation is part of a larger project Captains of Industry has recently launched, a partnership program with primarily local businesses to produce video projects, web sites, and short-term campaigns that help smaller-scale businesses create outreach strategies backed by a full-service agency they would otherwise not have access to.
"As a small business ourselves, it's important for us to find ways to help other small businesses and NGOs," said Ted Page, co-founder and Creative Director of Captains of Industry. "Empower Generation has a fantastic mission and dream, and we're glad to be able to help them raise funds to make that dream a reality.
Captains of Industry brings together in-house video production with media outreach strategies, creating engaging web experiences that connect organizations with their target communities. Captains' in-house video production department has over a decade of experience making videos for numerous companies, including Microsoft, Akamai, EnerNOC, and Nautilus Solar, and web platforms and strategies for companies including KEMA, Cogenra, the Conservation Law Foundation, and First Wind.
