Thousands of North American hotels discard millions of pounds of soap and shampoo on a daily basis.
Each year more than five million deaths occur from lack of proper hygiene, with the majority among children under five years old. Simple hand washing can reduce the spread of disease, amazingly, the essential items for proper hand washing are not available to millions worldwide.
