Born Musicians Commissioned to Compose for Channel 4's Random Act's Series

Composer Michael Palmer of Born Musicians is excited to have been given the opportunity to work alongside the Jason Arber of Phantom Limb Ltd on his latest short film 'Mr Lincoln the Butcher'. End Quote

(1888PressRelease) September 19, 2013 - Composer Michael Palmer of Born Musicians is excited to have been given the opportunity to work alongside the Jason Arber of Phantom Limb Ltd on his latest short film 'Mr Lincoln the Butcher' which will be aired as part of Channel 4's Random Acts series at 11:45pm on Wednesday 18th September.

Channel 4's Random Act's series was launched back in 2011 and since then has showcased over 260 specially-commissioned three-minute films chosen for their bold and unique expressions of creativity. Jason, who is described on his website as a 'live action director, photographer and all round good egg' has produced a quirky, creative and innovative film which will follow on from the many films Jason has already produced.

Michael Palmer was briefed by Phantom Limb Ltd. to create some 'deep and dirty dub step' to accompany the film. Michael Palmer commented 'Having the opportunity to create a dub-step sound was fantastic, I thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with it and related styles such as 2-step garage, broken beat, drum and bass, jungle, dub and reggae' Michael went on to say 'I was able to explore all of these and ensure that the finished composition was as deep and dirty as requested'. In the words of the Director the music had to sound aggressive and sound as if it "woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I think we cracked it!

'Mr Lincoln the Butcher' will be aired on Wednesday 18th September at 11:45pm as part of Channel's Random Act Series.
