Boris Rosen Provides Insights on International Accounting Practices to The National Law Center For Inter-American Free Trade

- (1888PressRelease) April 06, 2012 - MIAMI - Boris Rosen is a CPA, principal in the Tax and Accounting Department at nationally recognized public accounting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLC (MBAF). His consulting and drafting of proposed standard accounting practices for micro and small companies in Central America was recently acknowledged by one of the leading international commercial law experts Dr. Boris Kozolchyk in an article titled Implementation of the OAS Model Law in Latin America: Current Status for the Arizona Journal of International & Comparative Law (AJICL). Kozolchyk is the Evo DeConcini Professor of Law at the James E. Rogers College of Law, University of Arizona and President and Executive Director of the National Law Center for Inter-American Free Trade.
The AJICL is an internationally distributed semi-annual publication dedicated to quality legal scholarship. AJICL publishes articles on a wide variety of international and comparative law topics with the goal of providing a forum for debate on current issues affecting international legal development. In addition to two annual issues, AJICL is also committed to publishing symposia that highlight international legal developments and emerging areas of international law. The National Law Center for Inter-American Free Trade (NLCIFT) is a nonprofit research and educational institution affiliated with the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Ariz. Founded in 1992, the Center is dedicated to developing the legal infrastructure to build trade capacity and promote economic development in the Americas.

In the public accounting profession since 1969, Rosen has experience coordinating the planning and execution of various continuing client engagements for high net worth domestic and international individuals and closely held companies. His practice emphasizes on advising foreign individuals on pre-immigration tax planning, including structuring their investments in the U.S. and on their acquisitions of U.S. real property, as well as their dispositions, planning for U.S. estate and gift tax considerations for domestic and foreign investors and optimizing cross-border solutions. His areas of expertise include individual tax planning and compliance, international tax consulting, U.S. taxation of international transactions, taxation of mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations, cross border business operations, multi-state income tax planning and compliance, and business advisory services for international firms and individuals wishing to do business in the U.S.
Rosen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Cuban American Certified Public Accountants Association, Inc.
