- San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) May 03, 2011 - Boris Karpman a.k.a. Videolicious announces a half-day workshop on the basics of video projection. Karpman, through the four-hour training that includes principles and hands-on projects, will share the video projection tips, tricks and techniques with the students. The workshop will be held on May 3, 2011, at Madrone Studios, 1417 15th Street, San Francisco. The program starts at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 10:00 p.m. The time will be split equally between the theory and practical session. The fee is $50. Students can register at the venue before 6:00 p.m. Madrone Media, which is managing this event, says that it will be "a full overview of video projection and VJing know-how."
Madrone Media will stream the workshop live to enable those who can't make it to the workshop and others to watch it on the web.
The workshop covers the entire array of functions on the video projection continuum: shooting to animation, control surface to projection. Karpman will also use and highlight the features and benefits of five leading software programs as part of this educational event: Modul8, Resolume, Ableton, Final Cut and After Effects.
A laptop, control surface and camera are the recommended gear for the two-hour lab and mixer that follows the classroom session. The theory part does not require any equipment. A unique feature of the workshop is that the participants will have the opportunity to use the projection wall at the Madrone Studios.
With the objective to support a greener world, the participants will be served with organic food and beverages. And to create a stimulating environment, music by David Block of The Human Experience group will precede the workshop.
