Now that Borders bookstores are closing, here is a clever way to put your outdated Borders Rewards card to work. Send in your card (or a photocopy of the card back) to Non-Sport Update magazine for a half-priced subscription.

For those unfamiliar with the magazine, it has been published since October of 1990 and there are six issues per year. Non-sport cards cover a huge variety of subjects including TV, movies, horror, sci-fi, history, music and war. Popular subjects include Star Wars, Star Trek, The Beatles, Elvis, Presidents, Mars Attacks, Horrors of War, Lost, The Walking Dead and on and on.
