(1888PressRelease) July 12, 2012 - San Diego - Kiss of the Marlin is the story of Casey Doran, ordinary man. So ordinary, in fact, that his life has become stuck in neutral. Inflexibility coupled with a narrow perspective has left no room for actions that might change his life. That is, until he decides to vacation in a seaside village of Cabo San Lucas on the Baja Peninsula. Through Doran's story, Fiorito explores how circumstances and serendipity force Casey to break from his stifling mold - leading him to discover a new awareness of himself.
Casey's ultimate challenge is to find the courage to take advantage of an unusual confluence of events and odd characters he encounters along the way.
A deep sea fishing trip, a mythical Indian legend and the influence of the strange assortment of people he meets all combine to give Casey the jolt his life has been missing. Finding a little romance along the way doesn't hurt either. In what becomes a decidedly unordinary adventure, Casey sheds his old self and reemerges as a man who understands that taking action is what drives life in the direction he wishes to travel. By the end of this romantic fantasy, Casey realizes that to live life fully, he can no longer always make the safe choice. In fact, life can never be magical, enchanting and full of love without following unknown paths and flirting with danger.
Published in December 2011, Fiorito's Kiss of the Marlin has already received great praise from his growing following of loyal readers.
