Boca Grove and The First Tee Partner Again to Benefit Area Youth

West Palm Beach-Boca Raton, FL (1888PressRelease) October 26, 2012 - Boca Grove, a premier golf and tennis club in Boca Raton, Fla., recently welcomed back The First Tee of the Palm Beaches and the children of The Boys and Girls Clubs of Boca Raton and Delray Beach. The First Tee is a youth development program that aims to teach critical life skills, such as honesty, integrity, respect, responsibility, courtesy, sportsmanship, confidence, judgment and perseverance to children through the game of golf.

This is the third year that The First Tee has partnered with Boca Grove to serve area youth. In that time, the program hosted at Boca Grove has served more than 80 children from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boca Raton and Delray Beach. While at Boca Grove, Coaches Jack Barrett (The First Tee), Felix Paz (The First Tee), and Chad Kurmel (Golf Director, Boca Grove) work together with Boca Grove members to teach the children of The Boys and Girls Clubs the basics of golf. The children learn golf safety, hit balls on the driving range, practice their putting, have fun contests, play games and enjoy snack time.
