- (1888PressRelease) March 22, 2011 - Bob Seger fans have been impatiently waiting for the opening date of the Bob Seger tickets sale since he announced his 2011 tour in January. Their wait is over now as the second round of the onsales will opens on Saturday on March 19, 2011. Since the announcement s of Bob's tour more dates are being adding to the schedule and now Bob's journey has 23 stops across US and Canada. The first update for the more shows was released in early March and since then six more dates have been added including May 3 in New Orleans, LA; May 5 in Kansas City, MO; May 7 in Indianapolis, IN; May 10 in Omaha, NE; May 12 in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN and May 14 in Rosemont, IL.
Bob Seger's 2011 tour is one of the most anticipated tours of the year as 65 year old rock start along with his Silver Bullet Band is returning on the road after long 4 years when he performed a US 50 stops tour in 2007. His tour was received well and his shows at Toledo, Saginaw, Grand Rapids, Buffalo and Boston are already sold out in the first round of onsales opened in February. More dates for these cities are likely to be expected in April 2011. Bob even at this age has guts to grab the audience towards his concerts and for the last three weeks he has been in the top five best tour selling list following today's much younger music stars such as Taylor Swift.
Bob will kick start his tour on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Huntington Center, Toledo and his final live act will be in his hometown at The Palace of Auburn Hills, Detroit on May 19, 2011. Some of the major cities Bob will be performing at include Cleveland, Boston, Nashville, Houston, Kansas and Toronto.
For his 2011 tour Bob did not release any new album as he did during his 2007 tour when he released "Face the Promise". But a new song titled 'Downtown Train' was released though Bob's official website on February 28. Downtown Train is a cover of another American singer Tom Waits who first released the song in 1985 and it's the fourth Waits' song covered by Seger. The title of his new album is not decided till now so no date for the release of the Bob's new music in four years is confirmed yet.
