Boardwalk Bowl introduces first-of-its-kind virtual reality experience
Hyperdeck is coming to Boardwalk Bowl.
- Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) September 24, 2019 - Central Florida residents are about to get an all-new experience—a chance to enter an unprecedented virtual reality like never before!
Boardwalk Bowl, the mega-multi experience entertainment center in Orlando, is the first location in the region to offer the Hyperdeck, the latest and greatest in virtual reality experiences from Pennsylvania-based MajorMega.
The 300-square-feet “Arcade of the Future” will fully immerse four players as they travel together across vast worlds and experiences. Featuring a full-motion floor and multisensory effects such as hurricane force winds, heat and earth-rattling movements, the Hyperdeck enables an all-ages thrill-ride-level experience.
“Boardwalk Bowl is committed to offering exciting events and amenities to our guests,” said Keith Baldwin, regional manager of Aloma Bowling Centers. “We’re excited to be the first not only to bring this experience to Orlando, but to be the first to bring it to the Southeast.”
All Hyperdeck games are created by MajorMega with the highest quality in mind and are designed to be easy to learn but difficult to master. Players of all ages, skill levels and VR experience can enjoy both cooperative and competitive gameplay featuring high-score leader boards, thrill-ride sections, story-driven narratives and arcade-like action.
The Hyperdeck employs state-of-the-art floor mounted controllers with realistic effects like recoil and vibration. The controllers also have the ability to automatically adjust to each player’s height just by standing in front of it.
Worried about the typical motion sickness that comes along with virtual reality? Don’t be! The Hyperdeck simulates real environmental physics. Players actually feel the wind, heat and other forces just as they would in real life, making motion sickness a thing of the past, all while pushing the limits of VR.
The fun isn’t just inside the Hyperdeck – spectator play allows onlookers to interact with players inside the game via tablets provided outside the Hyperdeck.
The experience is the latest in a long line of entertainment options available at Boardwalk Bowl. With over 100,000 square feet of entertainment space and 80 bowling lanes, Boardwalk Bowl offers an arcade, comedy shows, a full-service restaurant and bar and countless events.
Hyperdeck will be available to Boardwalk Bowl’s guests beginning on Friday, Sept. 20, 2019.
