BNI Alberta South is pleased to announce the addition of Rachel Redmond to the team. She will be joining us for a four-month term as a marketing assistant. Welcome Rachel!
- (1888PressRelease) May 04, 2021 - With summer just around the corner, BNI Alberta South is gearing up for some exciting new things for their members. With that said, BNI Alberta South is eager to announce that the region has hired a communications intern for this upcoming season, Rachel Redmond. In her third-year of Mount Royal’s Public Relations program, she is more than ready to tackle anything that BNI has to throw at her and is excited to begin her four-month position at BNI as a marketing assistant.
Rachel entered MRU’s PR program straight out of high school in September 2018 and immediately fell in love with all thing’s communications and public relations. In her second-year, she decided to join the Public Relations Society of MRU as a second-year representative where she acted as a spokesperson for her year and advocated on behalf of her classmates to executive members of the society. The following year, she moved up to the executive team herself and served as vice-president. In this position, she works with a team to plan and implement networking events for the PR cohort aimed at bringing the MRU family closer together and introducing them to industry professionals.
During the COVID-19 lockdowns, Rachel has taken up the guitar and has slowly been teaching herself how to play. In fact, music has always been a major part of Rachel’s life, most especially singing. She hopes to one day have a career in the music industry somewhere; possibly managing talent or doing communications for major music events. To achieve this goal, she is hoping to pursue a master’s degree in entertainment management after she graduates next year.
This position with BNI will be Rachel’s first communications job and she is very excited to begin a working relationship with BNI Alberta South. She hopes to build meaningful relationships in this role and participate in the continuous growth of the region.
