Bluefield Partners Sales Force Moves Into Shanghai Offices
Bluefield Partners, the Shenzhen, China-headquartered broker-dealer and investment manager confirmed today that the migration of its existing and new equity sales and trading teams to its new Shanghai satellite office will be completed on schedule.
- (1888PressRelease) October 18, 2015 - The new 10,000 square foot office has been the new home to the operation's administrative teams and executive secretaries since the third week in September. The equity sales trading teams led by Naveen Chawla, Head of Equity Sales and head trader, Jeff Thorens and the company's proprietary desk traders will add a headcount of 52 at the new offices which represent the firm's largest presence outside its Shenzhen headquarters.
"The move has been uneventful, just how we wanted it," exclaimed Joel Cooper, Chief Investment Officer at Bluefield Partners.
"Barring an act of God, we'll be ready to begin carving out a larger slice of the technology IPO sector in Shanghai for Bluefield Partners by Monday morning. There's a sense that many of the larger brokerage houses here are taking the CSRC's (China Securities Regulatory Committee) blanket ban on new IPOs as an opportunity to do very little but we'll be using the lull to aggressively push our services. We really couldn't have picked a better time to launch," he said.
Bluefield Partners says it is still anticipating the launch of the Ferrari IPO within the next few days and has contacted clients with preliminary estimates of the number of shares they will be allocated. "We can't make a formal announcement because our allocation arrangements with the lead underwriters are informal but each client has been contacted individually," confirmed Cooper.
