Bluefield Partners Announces New Shanghai Offices
Bluefield Partners says new Shanghai office will enable it to bolster its presence in mainland wealth management market.
- (1888PressRelease) July 08, 2015 - Shenzen, CHINA - Bluefield Partners, the Shenzen, China-headquartered broker-dealer and wealth manager which recently announced that it has passed the $6 billion-under-management milestone has announced that it is to open a new sales and administration center in Shanghai as part of a fresh drive to significantly increase its footprint within the mainland China wealth management market.
The new center will be home to a new salesforce, a full administrative complement and a purpose-built, proprietary trading floor. Although Bluefield Partners have yet to confirm, it is believed that the dealing floor will form part of a new push to develop the firm's primary underwriting ambitions.
Francis Tay, who leads sales development at Bluefield Partners, confirmed that he would be moving to the Shanghai center from the Hong Kong office in order to help develop the expansion of the company's wealth management practice. "We are tentatively looking to increase headcount within wealth management by about 30 but I'm not in a position to comment on rumors that we'll be expanding our broker-dealer operations," he explained.
Naveen Chawla, Chief Investment Officer at Bluefield Partners said, "This is a particularly exciting time for us. The firm says it expects the offices to open in the fourth quarter of 2015 and confirms it will begin a drive to recruit personnel within the next two months.
