Blue World Construction Leader Guests On Commercial Construction Building Podcast
Pat Hunnewell, Vice President of Blue World Construction, was a recent guest on Commercial Construction Coffee Talk.
- Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) August 29, 2023 - In conversation with Host David Corson, Hunnewell spoke about the firm’s growth from a small to midsize construction company. Hunnewell briefly discussed Blue World’s evolution. “Our first client was a good one, but we still had to work for everything. It was all bid work…we had to bid on everything and had to win it and we didn't win everything.”
Hunnewell continued to explain how Blue World Construction’s first client acknowledged the importance of dedication, a cornerstone value of Blue World. “Our first client, that individual really understood the importance of having a good strong relationship with your contractor.”
From there, Hunnewell proceeded to discuss the construction business. “There's a lot of hours involved in what we do in construction and engineering. It is not a nine to five job, and we have to work not just for your clients but to stay ahead of your competition. We are fortunate to have a good team and I see a lot of good growth ahead for us.”

Pat has served under the varying titles of Project Engineer, Project Manager, Construction Division Manager, Chief Engineer, Senior Remediation Engineer, and Director of Operations working for consulting firms and civil and environmental contractors. Hunnewell received his BS in Civil Engineering from Drexel University in 1994.
