  • St. Louis, MO-IL (1888PressRelease) April 18, 2013 - Belleville's Blue Stingray Digital Ad Agency has launched a revamped logistics application for Pepsi Logistics Company, Inc. (PLCI). On April 1, this app replaced PLCI's previous desktop application for tracking shipments and deliveries.

In contrast to PLCI's previous tracking system which was confined to desktop use, Blue Stingray's innovative HTML5 app is mobile friendly. With this new system, delivery drivers are now able to access shipment data and check deliveries in from any smartphone or tablet as they arrive at a destination, as well as add notifications for available trucks to the system. Customers now have the ability to monitor the status of their Pepsi delivery via a redesigned desktop view or on any mobile device. Blue Stingray's custom built API connects the new app to PLCI's legacy application so that previously existing functionality is included.

    Other features of the app:
-Easy to use, interactive at-a-glance calendar to view all deliveries for a given day
-Metric tools to track shipment status
-Interactive table grids to view current deliveries and their statuses
    -News updates and messages
    -Intuitive HTML5 interface
Transitioning to cloud storage allows all of this data to be synced in real time.

Blue Stingray is a full service digital ad agency that specializes in building custom APIs, cloud and mobile apps, digital branding, and digital marketing campaigns, as well as custom interactive marketing contests and games for Fortune 500 and mid-sized companies.

When laid off by his previous employer in March of 2010, Brian Rehg, CEO, was forced to adapt and take initiative, and founded Blue Stingray the following day. When asked about how it all began, Rehg states, "I started the business with $70.00 from my kitchen table. Six months later, while the company I was previously employed at continued to struggle and increase layoffs, I had just hired my first employee. Business was good. We moved into our current office shortly after and now have five full-time employees." In addition to serving clients such as Pepsi and Monsanto, Rehg has been invited to speak at two recent seminars because of the company's rapid growth and success.
