Blo Stylists Add Redken Certifications
The Triangle's premier salon, Blo, is keeping its skills sharp, with five stylists recently earning Redken's highest certifications.
- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) April 20, 2011 - Achieving the perfect haircut and color can be a challenge for many stylists and their customers. Redken has made it easier for customers to get great style results by certifying its top hairdressers with the designation "Redken Design Certified Stylists." The most distinguished salon in the Triangle continues to keep its skills razor sharp, as five stylists at Blo recently earned Redken's highest certifications.
Four Blo stylists recently earned Redken's Design Certified Stylists designation: Jessica Richards, Brittany Wilson, Teresa Lyon, and Crystal Vasquez. In addition, Blo's Heather Salisbury is now a Redken Color Certified Stylist. She joins 10 Blo designers as Redken Color Certified Stylists. Five Blo designers are currently in training for their Redken certification.
Redken is a global leading consumer product company and leader in the science and techniques of hair design and color. Certification requires a rigorous training program and three-day certification exam, which includes written, practical and scenario exams.
This training assures clients they are connecting with credible stylists, said Christine Schuster, Redken's senior vice president of education.
"Our certifications are designed to recognize and reward top stylists," Schuster said. "Our accreditation process assesses their technical skills, knowledge of products and principles, and their approach. An individual that becomes certified will excel and provide top-notch service to their clients."
Blo has received international recognition for its commitment to stylists' continuing education, including advocating for and financially supporting Redken certification at the Redken Exchange in New York City. This commitment shows as Blo is home to the most Redken certified stylists and has grown into the largest salon in the state.
"I am proud of our stylists for their dedication to advanced education," said Bryan Nunes, Blo owner. "Training at the highest level in our industry at the Redken Exchange takes commitment and means learning more about the science and creativity of hair design. It also ensures our commitment to excellence for our guests."
Located at Brier Creek Commons in Raleigh, N.C., Blo is home to a talented design team where egos are passé and replaced with "A Lot of Hot Hair." As the most distinctive salon in North Carolina, Blo offers guests a unique experience that features highly trained hair stylists and a unique metropolitan appeal.
Blo was named to ELLE Magazine's Top 100 Salons last year and is one of only three salons nationwide to receive the industry's highest honor of a Global Salon Business Award. The salon has received international recognition as host of numerous magazine photoshoots, for its commitment to stylists' continuing education, and for its dedication to community service. Home to the state's one and only "24-Hour Cut-A-Thon," Blo has donated nearly $50,000 to area charities in recent years. Book an appointment online: http://www.justblo.com.
